Helen's paper published as a letter in PRE!

Helen’s work – which further reveals how the disordered glassy behavior of the Voronoi model may be controlled by a novel critical point – has been published as a letter in Physical Review E! Helen, working together with Chengling, found that the dynamics of these models has a regime which no longer behaves like a simple fluid, has power-law growth of a characteristic dynamical relaxation time, and is dynamically homogeneous. She used some extremely clever computational techniques to independently probe the linear rheology of these models, and found that the Stokes-Einstein-Sutherland relation (famously violated in standard glassy materials) holds in these models even as the dynamics become increasingly non-fluidlike. This is accompanied by an absence of the usual signatures of dynamical heterogeneity. Quite an unusual model – read more here!!
